Group Management

FD Administration allows administrators to group users; which can provide for more control over customized vocabularies, command sets, abbreviation rules, and formatting options. A group is a collection of users that share Fluency Direct settings. Groups are always sorted to the top of the level in the service tree.

Each group can contain its own set of customized added words, excluded words, replacement rules, commands, and device buttons (with the exception of Mobile Microphone buttons). Adding users into the group will allow that user to inherit the entire Group's customizations in addition to their individual custom words, rules, and commands.

Note

If user-level customizations overlap with group-level customizations (such as a Dictionary term), the user-level setting will take precedent.

Each group contains a defined set. Each user inherits that set, but is additionally able to define a personal set of words, rules, commands, formatting options, and device buttons. Also, for some settings, users can edit group-published items, such as creating their own pronunciation to a group-published Dictionary term.
